Spencer Mansion was launched in 2003. My friend had made a Fansite dedicated to the Metroid series. I was absolutely in love with Resident Evil, and decided I wanted to run a fansite for it.

The site was originally on Angelfire, because I just didn't have the money for a domain. Shortly after I put it up, said friend got her own domain, and offered me a subdomain. I accepted, and Spencer Mansion was on her subdomain for several years.

Finally, I was able to buy my own domain, and that is where Spencer Mansion is today. I'm very happy about finally having a domain for Spencer Mansion, it deserves it, it's been around for a long time. :)



In the Resident Evil Games, Spencer Mansion is the Mansion made by Sir Ozwell E. Spencer, the CEO of the Umbrella Corporation, and George Trevor. Of course... after George Trevor helped Sir Spencer build the Estate, Sir Spencer thought it would be best for George to meet his end, thus keeping all his secrets safe.

The Mansion itself is full of traps, and secret doors and passageways. In the original game, the walls are very bare, giving the Mansion a very eerie, empty feeling. Not to mention that there is a very long corridoor with a few turns, that again has barren walls, and is, in my opinion, the most eerie section of the house. I was rather upset to find that it had been taken out as of the Remake. In the Remake, the Mansion has many paintings on the walls. These paintings are often disturbing, either depicting death, or women, or even one of a woman in love with a dead man. I found that the Mansion wasn't quite so frightening to me, due to the new wall decorations. But I did love the way the interior looked with the newer graphics. They took what was already a beautiful piece of architecture and made it even better.

The Mansion was only seen in the Original Resident Evil, the Remake, and Deadly silence, and a short clip in Resident Evil 2. Apparently it will also be seen in Umbrella Chronicles, which is one of the reasons I want to play that game. ;) I love the Mansion, it's my favorite location in any of the games, and it's why I chose to name my site after it...
